Fundraising is essential for providing a high quality of life for the CSPD individuals. It is the generously of our donors, which enabled us to develop a Sensory Room at the Rosscarrock Community Home. Sensory rooms have been around for decades, initially in schools, however now they are in various environments, from airports to clinics and homes.
Sensory rooms help to calm the senses; they can also help an individual to concentrate who might otherwise be easily distracted. Sensory rooms provide a much needed break from the daily stressors of everyday life, our individuals enjoy spending time in the room, as it is a peaceful and relaxing environment.
